Carrie (lyrics) and Elyse (music) are both first year students in the Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program at NYU. After the outbreak began, both went back to their hometowns of Chicago and LA respectively. Carrie graduated cum laude from Northwestern University in 2018 with a BA in Theatre & Sociology, and Elyse graduated from University of California, Riverside in 2019 with a BM in Composition.

This song was created for a school project which requested composers and lyricists make a stand-alone song occurring in one minute. Feeling out of time, the team decided to create project which reflected the seemingly endless cycle of quarantine days combined with the overwhelming nature of the twenty-four hour news cycle.
